Introduction

Are you a youth organisation and have an idea for a project with the European Solidarity Corps programme? The call for proposals 2024 for European funding has finally come out, read on to find out how to apply!

If your project is accepted, you can find enthusiastic young people, from 18 to 30 y.o. (or 35 for Humanitarian Aid Volunteering), on the European Solidarity Corps website. Your group can share opportunities or connect with potential participants.

European Solidarity Corps funding offers various benefits for organisation, such as increasing capacity, leveraging the skills and enthusiasm of young people, establishing connections through meaningful learning experiences and strengthening ties with the local community.

The projects

This proposal invitation includes various activities under the European Solidarity Corps program, such as:

  • Volunteering Projects
  • Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas
  • Solidarity Projects
  • Quality Label for solidarity volunteering activities
  • Quality Label for humanitarian aid volunteering
  • Volunteering under the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps

If the project for which you want to apply for funding falls into one of these categories, it is eligible for application.

Eligibility

Any public or private entity, be it non-profit or for-profit, at the local, regional, national, or international level, is eligible to seek funding through the Call For Proposals for European Solidarity Corps. Additionally, groups of young people registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal can apply for funding for Solidarity Projects.

The full participation in all European Solidarity Corps actions extends to the 27 Member States of the European Union and Overseas Countries and Territories, as well as third countries associated with the Programme.

Moreover, certain actions are open to entities legally established in third countries not associated with the Programme.

The budget and duration of the projects

The budget set for this call is around EUR 145,000,000. The amount of money you might get and how long your project can last depend on the kind of project you’re doing and who can apply.

The deadlines

Deadlines for submission of applications specified below end at 12:00 (noon), Brussels time:

  • Volunteering Projects:
    • 20 February 2024
    • 1 October 2024 (optional round)
  • Solidarity Projects:
    • 20 February 2024
    • 7 May 2024 (optional round)
    • 1 October 2024 (optional round)

Deadlines for submission of applications specified below end at 17:00, Brussels time:

  • Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas: 8 February 2024
  • Volunteering under the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps: 16 April 2024

Applications for Quality Labels can be submitted on a continuous basis.
