How does it work?

Furthermore receiving the Erasmus Youth accreditation indicates that the applicant has effective processes and measures in place to successfully implement high-quality learning mobility activities.
This accreditation ensures that the organisation can provide meaningful benefits to the youth sector through their planned initiatives.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for Erasmus accreditation, organisations must meet certain requirements. These include also the type of organisation and its location.
Here are the key criteria:
- A non-profit organisation, association, or NGO
- A European Youth NGO
- A public body at the local, regional, or national level
- A social enterprise
- A profit-making body involved in Corporate Social Responsibility
- Organisations based in an EU Member State or a third country associated with the Programme
The principles of the Erasmus programme
To meet the requirements for Erasmus accreditation, beneficiary organisations must adhere to several key principles:
- Inclusion and Diversity: Respect inclusion and diversity in all activities, involving participants from various backgrounds and abilities, including those with fewer opportunities.
- Environmental Sustainability and Responsibility: Design activities in an environmentally friendly manner and promote sustainable behaviour among participants.
- Virtual Cooperation and Mobility: Use digital tools and learning methods to enhance physical mobility activities and cooperation with partner organisations.
- Active Participation in the Erasmus Network: Engage in activities organised by the National Agency or other organisations, share knowledge with less experienced organisations, and also encourage participants to join Erasmus community building activities.
How to participate?

- Prepare Your Application: Gather all necessary information and documents required for the application process. Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria and have a clear plan for how you will use the grant.
- Submit to the National Agency: Your completed application must be submitted to the National Agency in the country where your organisation is established. Each country has its own National Agency responsible for overseeing Erasmus grants.

- Await Evaluation: Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the National Agency. They will evaluate it based on the criteria outlined for the grant, including the quality and feasibility of your proposed activities.
- Receive Notification: If your application is successful, the National Agency will notify you and provide further instructions on how to proceed with the grant funding.
