Are you ready to take your ideas and turn them into an amazing international youth project? The EYE Opener Training Course is your chance to do just that – and the best part is, it’s designed for teams of young people and youth workers who want to make their own Erasmus+ youth exchange from scratch.
This is not your average training. You’ll learn, play, plan, and connect with others from across Europe – and you might just find your future project partners along the way.
🌍 What’s EYE Opener All About?
EYE Opener is for teams:
- 1 youth worker (18+)
- 1–2 young people (15–18 years old) from the same organisation.
From the first day, you’ll work together as a team. Young people lead the project ideas, while youth workers support and guide them. The goal? To leave the training ready to apply for a real Erasmus+ youth exchange.
We especially welcome teams working with young people from migrant, refugee, or asylum seeker backgrounds. If this is you – you’ll get priority in selection.
🛠How You’ll Learn
Forget boring lectures – this is all about learning by doing. You’ll take part in:
- Simulations and role plays
- Outdoor games and activities
- Workshops and info sessions
- Reflection and feedback moments
Some sessions are for everyone together, others are split – so young people and youth workers can focus on their own roles, then come back and share ideas.
đź‘Ą Who Can Apply?
You must apply as a team from one organisation. One application per team.
Youth Worker (18+):
- Supports young participants before, during, and after the exchange
- Responsible for underage members
- One adult is required, two possible if needed
Young People (15–18):
- Excited to plan and organise a future youth exchange
- Can join as 1 or 2 participants per team
- Need guardian consent if under 18
Important: Everyone must be ready to communicate in English (don’t worry – you can help each other).
💡 No alcohol or other intoxicants allowed – this is about focus, safety, and respect.

The training takes place at Ankkapurha Youth Centre near Kouvola.
