Introduction

Are you a youth worker and interested in finding out how it works and how to organise a youth exchange?

Discover the training course that will teach you how to start and manage a good Youth Exchange project. People new to Youth Exchanges and Erasmus+ can also apply.

The project will take place in Oslo, Norway from 26 February to 01 March 2024.

The goal of the training course is to provide participants with an international learning opportunity that boosts their confidence in starting their own youth exchange.

The objectives of the training course

This course is designed for volunteers or professionals who directly work with young people. It provides guidance and assistance in developing and applying for your initial international Youth Exchange within the Erasmus+.

The participants will be 25 youth workers from all over Europe

In particular, the training course aim to:

  • Introduce to the Erasmus+ Youth program, focusing on Youth Exchanges
  • Show how young people can play a role in planning and leading these projects
  • Provide hands-on activities to guide in setting up a Youth Exchange following EU youth program guidelines
  • Help you understand and use the Youthpass
  • Give the opportunity to connect with potential partners from various countries.

The programme

The training course spans three full workdays, plus an arrival and departure day. Participants learn through hands-on activities, workshops, informational sessions, and group activities. The course concludes with an assessment.

The host organisation will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food for all the participants.

Who can participate?

The training course is directed to youth workers, youth leaders and youth project managers

In particular, youth workers and leaders from all over Europe, that want to improve their knowledge in how youth exchanges work.

Participants must be at least 18 years old and speak English well.

What’s included?

The organisation will cover all costs regarding accommodation and during the project.

Reach out to your NA or SALTO to see if they’ll cover your travel expenses. If they agree and select you, contact them again for details on how to book your tickets.

The participants will receive the reimbursement via bank transfer after the activity.
