Introduction
Are you a youth worker and interested in deepening your knowledge in the field of non-formal education?
Discover the training course “The Power of Non Formal Education”, during which you can learn new techniques to use during your work in a stimulating and multicultural environment!
The project will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria from 05 to 10 March 2024.
The activities will be conducted in English and the entire initiative is managed by Human Resource Development Centre in collaboration with the Bulgarian National Agency.

The objectives of the training course
The project wants to enhance the effects of Non-Formal Education (NFE) to give young people more power and a role in society, from local to European levels.
In particular, the training course aim to:
- Encourage participants to experience various non-traditional learning methods and think about their impact.
- Look at how non-traditional learning is viewed and used in different European countries.
- Discuss and understand the European plan for non-traditional learning.
- Understand and discuss the differences between formal, non-traditional, and casual learning methods.
- Rethink and improve everyday practices when working with young people.

Who can participate?
Everyone involved in youth activities (like youth leaders, workers, and local officials) can participate.
In particular, youth workers and leaders from all over Europe, whether they have experience with NFE or are starting from scratch.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and speak English well.
The group will have up to 30 participants from all over Europe.
What’s included?
The organisation will cover all costs regarding accommodation and during the project.
Reach out to your NA or SALTO to see if they’ll cover your travel expenses. If they agree and select you, contact them again for details on how to book your tickets.
The participants will receive the reimbursement via bank transfer after the activity.
