Introduction
The Scale-Up project led to the development of 4 online training modules on soft-skills useful in the labour market, which involved 20 young people from Italy, Lithuania and Spain. The course, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme in the framework of the Small-Scale Cooperation Partnerships, took place from November 2023 to January 2024 and was attended by external experts, who contributed to the conduct of the lectures and to the development of the study materials that were given to the participants.
THE SET OF TOOLKITS
The content of the individual lessons, together with some extra materials (games, activity ideas, insights), was summarised in 4 toolkits, which may be useful for educators, teachers and youth workers who want to explore the world of soft-skills and find sources of inspiration for organising lessons or non-formal education activities.
THE TOOLKIT ON EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
The toolkit on emotional intelligence (downloadable below) was produced as a result of the module dedicated to empathy and emotional intelligence, i.e. the ability to perceive, interpret, demonstrate, control, evaluate and use emotions to communicate and relate to others effectively and constructively. At the creation of the lesson, held on 27 November 2023, was contributed by Ghita Ramdhiansing, trainer, consultant and researcher, author of the book ‘People: The Manual’.
This publication not only delves into the topic of emotional intelligence, but also offers an overview of the universe of soft-skills and their role and importance in the labour market.
The module will help achieving the following results:
- A deeper understanding of the importance of soft skills.
- A clear understanding of the importance of emotions and emotional intelligence.
- A clear understanding of empathy.
- The ability to work on their emotions.
- Insights into some games designed to increase emotional intelligence.
