Project Background

Mind Your Own Productivity was created to help young people develop a healthier understanding of productivity and well-being. Many young people struggle with either low motivation or unhealthy pressure to always perform better. The project encouraged participants to find a balanced lifestyle that combines personal growth, productivity, and mental health.

The project also promoted mindfulness as a practical way to reduce stress, improve focus, and build healthy daily habits that support long-term well-being.

Project Objectives

The main objective was to help participants understand that productivity is not only about achieving more but also about maintaining balance, rest, and self-care. Through non-formal learning, young people explored time management, goal setting, mindfulness, and healthy digital habits.

Another important goal was to create a safe and inclusive environment where participants could exchange experiences, support one another, and develop routines that improve both personal and professional life.

Project Implementation

The project was organised as an eight-day international youth exchange based on experiential learning and non-formal education. It brought together 36 participants from six European partner countries, including young people and group leaders with diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.

Each day focused on a different theme, gradually guiding participants from self-awareness to practical application. The programme included workshops, discussions, coaching sessions, outdoor learning, reflection circles, and creative activities designed to strengthen both personal and social competences.

Key Activities

Every morning began with mindfulness sessions that included meditation, breathing exercises, jogging, and other activities that helped participants improve their focus and emotional well-being. Interactive workshops explored topics such as productivity myths, burnout prevention, time management, healthy routines, personal values, and setting boundaries.

A special highlight was the Productive Mind Hike, where participants combined teamwork, outdoor learning, and mindful observation in nature. They also created video podcasts, organised workshops for a local school, and shared Erasmus+ opportunities with around 60 students.

Project Results

The project helped participants improve their productivity, communication, teamwork, and organisational skills while developing practical methods for reducing stress and improving mental well-being. Many participants became more aware of their daily habits and learned how to create a healthier balance between work, rest, and personal life.

Participants also reduced their dependence on digital devices during the exchange, built meaningful friendships, and strengthened their intercultural understanding through shared experiences.

Impact on Participants and Organisations

The project increased the capacity of partner organisations by improving their experience in project management, international cooperation, and youth work. The collaboration also created stronger partnerships that will support future Erasmus+ initiatives.

After returning home, participants organised local dissemination activities that reached around 120 people across the partner countries. Photos, videos, podcasts, and workshops helped spread the project’s message and encouraged more young people to adopt mindful and balanced lifestyles.

Long-Term Impact

Mind Your Own Productivity demonstrated that true productivity is built on balance, self-awareness, and well-being rather than constant pressure. By combining mindfulness, outdoor learning, and intercultural exchange, the project gave young people practical tools to improve their everyday lives.

The knowledge, habits, and international partnerships created during the project will continue supporting healthier lifestyles, stronger youth participation, and future cooperation across Europe.
