Project Background
Youth mental health is a growing challenge in Ireland. Many young people feel that their voices are not heard in decision-making processes. Mental health services often do not fully meet their real needs. This project was created to support young people and to promote their active role in shaping mental health policies and services.

Project Objectives
The main goal of е-VENTURE: Youth Talk, We Listen was to strengthen youth participation in mental health policy development. The project aimed to empower young people to share their experiences and ideas. It also focused on influencing decision-makers to include youth perspectives in national mental health strategies and public services.

Implementation and Activities
The project included two key activities. First, young people visited the Houses of the Oireachtas to meet politicians and start open dialogue. Second, the “е-VENTURE: Youth Talk, We Listen” event was organised using World Café and design thinking methods. These tools helped participants share ideas, discuss challenges, and co-create solutions in an inclusive way.

Key Participants and Methods
Around 125 participants took part in the project, including youth advocates, local young people, politicians, and healthcare leaders. The project used participatory methods that encouraged collaboration and equal dialogue. This approach helped young people feel confident and valued while sharing their opinions and experiences.

Key Results and Impact
The project increased awareness of youth mental health challenges among policymakers and the public. It supported stronger youth involvement in mental health initiatives and encouraged more inclusive service design. As a result, the project contributed to better understanding, improved cooperation, and steps toward more accessible mental health support for young people.

Conclusion
е-VENTURE: Youth Talk, We Listen showed that meaningful dialogue can lead to positive change. By listening to young people and involving them in decision-making, the project helped build a more inclusive and responsive mental health system. The results support long-term improvements in youth well-being and democratic participation.
