Background

Many young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, have limited access to international experiences. This project was created to support youth inclusion and equal access to mobility. It responds to the need for personal growth, intercultural learning, and stronger youth participation in Europe.

Objectives

The project aimed to empower young people to become confident and independent. It focused on developing self-confidence, intercultural understanding, and important life skills. Special attention was given to inclusion, ensuring that young people from different backgrounds could take part equally.

Implementation

Participants planned and carried out international journeys across Europe. They were actively involved in decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork. Youth workers supported the learning process through reflection activities and guidance before, during, and after the mobility experience.

Key Activities

The main activities included travel planning, international mobility experiences, group discussions, and reflection sessions. Participants explored new cultures, communicated in foreign languages, and worked together in diverse teams. Self-reflection and goal-setting were key elements throughout the project.

Results

Young people improved their communication, adaptability, and leadership skills. They gained more self-confidence and developed a stronger understanding of cultural diversity. Participants also became more aware of European values such as democracy, human rights, and inclusion.

Impact

The project had a positive impact on participants, youth organizations, and the local community in Cologne. It promoted active citizenship, social inclusion, and stronger youth work practices. The experience encouraged young people to stay engaged in international projects and inspired organizations to develop more inclusive mobility initiatives.
