Introduction

Are you a youth worker and are you interested in deepening your knowledge in the field of graphic communication? Join “Colourful Hands“, a week-long training course for young leaders.

It teaches them how to use graphics and visuals effectively. This course mixes learning and hands-on practice to improve their creative and drawing abilities.

After the training course, youth workers improve their skills in using graphics and digital tools. They learn how visuals are essential in youth work for teaching and as a main focus. They also understand how visuals help different learning styles and accessibility. This helps them feel more confident in using graphics and being creative.

The project will take place in Belmonte de Miranda, Spain the 28 April – 4 May 2024.

The training course

By initiating this project, the objective is to strengthen the abilities of youth workers specifically in areas like graphic facilitation, visual thinking, and utilising digital tools.

By enhancing these skills, the aim is to empower youth workers with the confidence and capability to further their professional growth.

This, in turn, will increase their motivation and eagerness to incorporate innovative tools and methods into their daily activities.

Ultimately, the goal is to make their efforts more engaging, accessible, and beneficial for the young individuals they interact with regularly.

The objective of the project

Here are the simple objectives for this project for the youth workers involved:

  • Improve skills in graphic facilitation and using digital tools.
  • Understand how visuals can help in youth work as both a method and a goal.
  • Learn how visuals can support learning, especially considering accessibility and different learning styles.
  • Boost self-confidence in graphic facilitation and being creative.
